Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate

This week's WW (Weight Watchers) was all about celebrating the first quarter of the new year. We are now in April 2025!

I am a goal-oriented type of person so this topic allows me to go back and reflect and honour all the hard work of living the best life I can.

I loved all the questions and ponderings posed. All the thinking we did around our successes both in the short term and the long term of our health journey.

The process was shaped by giving ourselves credit for the smallest achievements to the largest ones and any in between. It was an opportunity to see our progress. How we perceive our progress often influences how motivated we feel to keep going on our journey.

What happens when we lose motivation? Is it possible to take that unproductive feeling and turn it around. Can we use that loss of motivation as a cue to change things up?

When we celebrate our accomplishments, see all the small steps that led to our success. We often feel better about our progress....

Some of the questions posed were:

Today I'm giving myself credit for <fill in the blank>

One positive thing I did today is <fill in the blank>

One unhelpful thing I refrained from doing today is <fill in the blank>

The smallest thing I'm proud of is <fill in the blank>

The new habit I am developing is <fill in the blank>

My most supportive space is <fill in the blank>

My favourite thing I've learned about myself is <fill in the blank>

The biggest barrier I overcame is <fill in the blank>

One fun secret to my success is <fill in the blank>

One thing that inspires me to keep going is <fill in the blank>

As I reflect on my journey, I am so grateful for living a values driven life allowing me to live 2025 through the lens of love, live, laugh and play!

I give myself credit for taking small steps, allowing time for consistency then building on that. When I started my health journey, I wanted to be healthy and to learn to live my life through the lens of love. I will forever grow in deepening this practice. However, one of my small steps was to look in the mirror. I build on that by playing music while looking in the mirror to support loving myself. The songs that support me are Heather Bishop's Yes to Life and Shaina Noll--How Could Anyone

A new step I took in the month of March was to purchase new clothes. Including a couple of bathing suits. This was a huge accomplishment for me.

So, a final small step is posting this picture!

What would you answer to some of the questions posed? What are some of the ways you reflect each day, week, month, year?

Some of the questions posed were:

Today I'm giving myself credit for <shoveling the driveway 3 times and cleaning off the decks. I love the outdoors and enjoy accomplishing tasks that need to be taken care of.>

One positive thing I did today is <rested when I felt tired.>

One unhelpful thing I refrained from doing today is <carrying in the large storage units of Lego>

The smallest thing I'm proud of is <I wrote another story!>

The new habit I am developing is <still working on that one. Lol!>
